About the network
FraktStudio aims to produce investigations and present them in an engaging, visually appealing documentary format. The team conducts investigations for The Black Sea, IJ4EU, JournalismFund, and the Global Investigative Journalism Network. They also produce content for private companies to fund their investigations.
Network projects
FraktStudio received an investigation fund from JournalismFund to produce a documentary and an article about the illegal Turkish wave of emigration to the EU through the Balkan Route.
The team investigated using court documents, conversations on close Facebook groups, interviews with migrants, smugglers, police informants, taxi drivers, and human rights experts, and produced a news article and a documentary.
