Made by Humans is a tool that flags AI-generated or manipulated content before it’s published. It verifies image and text authenticity before publishing, and is now available for publishers and individual journalists. It was launched by Press Gazette – a British trade publication and digital news platform that covers the global journalism and media industries – and a tech company, Flip Pay.
A survey of more than 200 publishers conducted by Press Gazette showed that the overwhelming majority agree that AI-generated content should be clearly flagged.
Made by Humans is not the first product on the market to provide ways to verify content: the tools to flag AI usage for image or text generation already exist. But this one doesn’t want to replace human editorial judgement but supports those. How it helps the process and how this tool is different from the others, it is described by The Fix Media, an excellent source of information of AI tools and initiatives in the media environment.
